Jonathan Craft (b. 1986, Houston, Texas) is currently pursuing a
degree in French horn performance at Boston University, but has also
been writing music since he was fifteen. His most recent commissions
include Dreams, Yearning for Thomas Bacon, and Anthem for Abercrombie
for Abercrombie Academy in Spring, Texas. Many of his pieces have won
honors and awards: in 2007, his Prelude for Piano received first
place in the TMTA statewide composition competition and Dreams,
Yearning advanced to the final rounds of the Robert Avalon
Competition for Young Composers. Though largely self-taught, he
briefly studied with Martin Amlin while at BU. Jonathan is a member
of ASCAP.
