A Cup of Tea
One day I saw a man sit down And pour himself a spot of tea. He poured his cup to rim and when He downed the brew he looked at me-- And frowned and said I think it needs A bit of cream and so he went And fetched a jar and poured himself A spot of tea and then he spent-- A time to get the lid undone And then he stirred a bit of cream And downed the brew and looked at me And frowned and said I fear it seems-- That it should be a bit more sweet And so he went and fetched a jar And took a lump, not one but two, And poured himself a spot of tea-- And stirred some cream and both the lumps And sipped the brew and looked at me And frowned and said I think that I Just now might be a bit too full for tea.
