Ethical Humanist's Prayer
My father, and mother,
Who art not in heaven,
Hallowed be thy names.
My fellow humans' and my kingdom come,
My fellow humans' and my will be done,
On earth, as it would be in heaven, if there were a heaven.
I'll fairly earn this day my daily bread,
I'll be reasonable in balancing justice and forgiveness, and will expect others to do the same,
I will not fall into the temptation of being merely selfish, rather than ethical, which means I will partially think of my own, as well as partially think of others', best interests.
I will encounter and battle evil ones as best as I am able,
For mine, and other humans, is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever (relative to the last three million years, and the foreseeable future.)
